Hot News      January 2009

It's hard to believe that we will soon be starting our 31st year in operation of Southern California Pro-Gas.
This is all a friendly reminder about our first two races, January 24th & 25th at Auto Club Dragway at Fontana.
Our first race of the year will be sponsored by:
The Harris Family for the "Russ Harris Memorial race" Russ was a strong supporter of this association for many years whether it was sponsoring races or the shoot-out. Russ was always there for our association.
The second race of the year will be sponsored by:
The "K&N / Lucas Oil Pro-Gas Winter Nationals” K&N is not only the leader in the air filter industry, but also growing fast in the high performance oil filter arena as well. Lucas Oil is one of the fastest growing oil companies on the market & strong supporters of not only our association but many sanctioning bodies of various types of motorsports. Please, if you are in the market for any of the products that K&N or Lucas Oil offers, come by and see me, and I will take you to the right person to speak to.
Sponsor Note!
Sponsors of Southern California Pro-Gas, yours truly will be making an appearance on speedscene live on January 20th 2009. I will be on the show not only to promote our great sponsors, but to try and promote car counts to make this association the best in the west. Please log onto www.speedsceneracing.com on January 20th 2009 @ 6:00 p.m. Hopefully I won't freeze when the camera turns my way!
Our banquet will be here before you know it on January 24th @ 6:00 p.m. The admission is $10 and you must RSVP to Kitty Cordiero ¦ Grammy.Kitty@verizon.net   This banquet is BYOB. A majority of the food will be supplied by King’s Hawaiian Bread, Larry Scarth, and let Kitty know what you would like to bring for the potluck. We will be honoring our top 10 drivers for the 2008 season. So please, let me know if you have anything that you can get to raffle away for our door prizes. It should be a fun evening for all.
I hope everybody had a great holiday season, now it's almost time to go racing!
