Ray's Notes Because of rain we actually ran our 3rd race one week earlier than our rescheduled 2nd race. We had 69 cars enter race #3 sponsored by P.R.W. (Performance Racing Warehouse). Schean Barrett (Director of Marketing) set up a display with a few of their parts that can be purchased through various warehouse distributors, engine builders and jobbers. The parts and the prices look really good. Thanks again Schean and everyone at P.R.W. Congratulations to Jim Israel for winning his 1st S.C.P.G. race. Jim has always been a tough competitor and even though he won the Shoot-Out championship twice being a race winner has always eluded him. Good job Jim & Audrey. Also Congrats to Rich and Willy Takahashi and the rest of the King’s Hawaiian Bread guys for their runner-up finish. It was great to see these guys back out again after taking 2 1\2 years off. Being in the finals at their 1st race back says a lot for the whole team. And thanks for bringing that great King’s Hawaiian Bread for everyone. Thanks to O Racing (Rich Okerman and Bill Ohmer) for sponsoring the race trophy and also to Joe Roubicek for sponsoring the #1 Qualifier plaques and the runner-up trophies all year. Our #1 Qualifier was C.W. Hoefer and he received $100.00 from Tim & Donna Daniel for his efforts. Our #2 Qualifier Steve Parsons received $25,00 from Jack & Paul Giacalone of Pizazz Racing. Our #5 Qualifier Rich Okerman received $30.00 from Ken “Racer” Brown of Brown’s Transmission & Repair. The $100.00 Bulls-Eye award sponsored all year by Dave Calvert and CP Pistons went to Jerry McAllister for defeating point’s leader Greg Ventura. The Turtle award of $25.00 sponsored by Jim Sowards went to Steve Parsons. Race Safe, Ray |
